Batch: 4  (New Batch)

Tasting Notes: TBD

TBD

When you taste the kava you will notice a slight mouth numbness and goes down very smooth. For us the effects started a bit slower than the last batch at about 2 hours. Other drinkers have noted that this kava leans heavy.

Historically this kava has been very potent. The mix of kavalactones in the chemotype and the higher percentage of total kavalactones leads to a nice potentcy not often found in kava from Fiji.

Everyone's tolerance is different. We can have different experiences too! Please let us know how it worked for you in your review. Kava also has a reverse tolerance. So if it hasn't worked for you yet, try it again. If you have any questions at all, please reach out on our Instagram or Facebook page.

Each batch is hand picked, harvested and shipped to us immediately in small batches. Every batch is going to be a bit different than the last. If this one isn't for you, give the next a try and it may be the winner you were looking for!

 About this Kava:

We sourced this 100% noble waka kava from the island of Koro in Fiji. This high quality noble Kava is selected from plants at least 5 years in age that have been organically grown on the island of Koro.

The Fijian WAKA (100% Lateral Root) Kava powder, is derived from the smaller roots that extend from the main root-stock. These roots are higher in Kavalactones.

Batch 3 CHEMOTYPE:

Batch 3 TOTAL KAVALACTONE:

***Our previous lab tests showed between 10% and 14% kavalactones for this cultivar. It still has an incredible strength however the kavalactone content is much more accurate.

About the Farmer:

The kava farmers name is Alosio Naduva and his family. Alasio Sovita Naduva "Mr Nitro" plays as a winger in the Fiji national rugby sevens team. He helped the Fiji Sevens side to win their fourth World Rugby Sevens Series in the 2018-19 season. He and his family have been farming kava on a few islands in Fiji for quite some time now. Look for him on Fiji's Rugby team in the upcoming Olympics!

Directions:

Made as single serving: 20g in 20oz water. Blended for 4 min, strained.

Fiji Kava | Koro Island Kava

First time

This was my first time in a while with Kava. Unfortunately I ran through it rather quickly expecting more out of it than I probably should have. Kava tends to have a ceiling effect, unlike alcohol. After a certain point negative effects begin to set in. One needs to learn to appreciate the subtle effects of a cup before pouring another, at least from my experience. Can't blame it on the kava though!

AoK through in a free straining bag for me, which I have been making much use of! Love the quick shipping time as well. Quality vendor :)!
